Foundation Hosts First Friday Lunch

The Foundation successfully hosted the first Friday Lunch Club at Easter Road last week!

Following the incredible success of the Ron Gordon 24-hour Football Challenge, additional funds has allowed the Foundation to host an extra lunch on Friday afternoons!

This success was only made possible from the incredible support that the Foundation received from our prime sponsor – Utilita Giving, event partners – Hibernian Matchday Program, Pilot Beer, Mackie’s, and Tunnock’s, as well as the phenomenal fundraising efforts that were made by all those who took part in the challenge.

After community consultation and understanding of the struggles associated to holiday hunger for families, the Foundation ensured to help those who needed it most over the summer.

The first Friday lunch (30 June) saw members of the local community flocking to our Community Hub at Easter Road for soup, toasties and hot beverages.

A fun and friendly environment with access to table tennis, pool and table football makes our Community Hub a fantastic place for kids to hang out during the school holidays.

“We are really pleased that we have been able to create a brand-new lunch on Friday afternoons. It is a great opportunity for members of our community to eat and socialise throughout the summer.

Our Friday Lunch Club takes place at our Community Hub in the North Stand of Easter Road, every Friday between 12pm-2pm.
