We exist to uphold the values of the club when it was first formed. Set up by the Cathlolic Young Men’s Society in 1875, the club provided a positive outlet for the energy of Irish immigrants living in the east of the city. Funds raised from ticket sales at games were ploughed back into the community by the local church. And these values are alive today in the community foundation as they were 150 years ago.
