In 2025 HCF will be offering fans a raft of different options to support the local community, and you don’t have to be football mad to get involved or enjoy the festivities.
As always, the headline event of the Hibernian Christmas Appeal in 2025 will be HCF’s ‘Feed The 500’ on Christmas Day at Easter Road. Since the Foundation began in 2008, we have always aimed to support the community surrounding Easter Road who need it most on Christmas Day, and this year will be no different.
HCF is currently planning to supply 400 community members meals from Easter Road’s Behind the Goals on Christmas Day (25 December) and provide 100 more meals via delivery to community members in the surrounding area. As per the last two years, we will be holding our Silent Auction this Christmas, featuring a suite of prizes ranging from VIP Hibs experiences, unique days at European football giants, local restaurant vouchers, and money can’t buy experiences. The auction will be sent live at 10am next Monday morning (24 November), and closing at 11.30pm on Sunday 14 December. Stay tuned to HCF and Hibernian Football Club social media channels next Monday morning to start your bidding!
This year we will be giving Hibs fans a unique opportunity to have their name on the tree at Easter Road over the festive period. For only £5 you can purchase a bauble and tag, with the chance to attach a message to your decoration. Supporters will be able to purchase their bauble this Saturday (22 November, 2025) at Easter Road, with details of the sale to be announced later this week. Following this you can purchase online when the Christmas Appeal is officially launched next week. This is the first time HCF have run a bauble drive, and there will only be a limited amount available so don’t miss your chance!
Another new addition to the Christmas Appeal in 2025 is giving you the chance to support our community programmes through direct donations. For example, you can help feed a community member at one of our regular community meals for as little as £10, or help feed a family of four on Christmas Day for £20. These donations are unlimited and will help us deliver on our community programmes throughout 2026. By donating this way you can have a huge impact in supporting people in the local area. This option will also go live next Monday morning as part of the wider Appeal.
This year HCF and Hibernian Football Club are working together to introduce something special to make dreams come true over the festive period, to celebrate the club’s 150th year. A postbox will soon be placed in the club shop for dreams to be submitted via letter, and once the campaign has concluded the lucky winners will be contacted with details of how the dreams will be realised. More details, including date of launch and last submission will be announced soon.
Our 2024 Christmas Appeal raised an incredible £70,000, which had lasting benefits on all Hibernian Community Foundation activities throughout 2025. The funds were crucial in running and improving our community programmes, showing how important donating to and supporting HCF is at this time of year.
This year, we want to go bigger and better, and need your help to do that!
