Hibernian Community Foundation Matchday 2026: Thank You To Those Who Make Our Work Possible

After an exciting HCF Matchday last weekend at Easter Road, we are reflecting on all the supporters that make our work possible and will support in the future to help us extend our reach across Leith and Edinburgh.

As the official charity of Hibernian Football Club, the Hibernian Community Foundation is tireless in its efforts to deliver support to the community surrounding Easter Road, Leith, and wider Edinburgh. This support comes in the form of over 50 hours of community programmes and activities a week, while delivering over 35 hours of community football a week on top.

To deliver these numbers HCF needs the help of supporters who donate, sponsor and partner with the aim of furthering community impact, and are incredibly grateful for such support.

A Special Thanks for Support on HCF Matchday:

Black Ivy: On HCF Matchday, the Black Ivy generously donated the warm-up shirts for Hibernian FC, with all members of the matchday squad wearing shirts adorning HCF’s logo. These shirts will shortly be made available for auction, with proceeds going to support our yearly programmes and activities.

Owen Gibb & Sons: Another warm-up shirt sponsor of Hibernian FC, Owen Gibb & Sons gave-up their sponsorship for HCF Matchday. These shirts will shortly be made available for auction, with proceeds going to support our yearly programmes and activities.

St Andrews Timber & Building Supplies: For the recent HCF Matchday St Andrews Timber generously donated their regular in Pioneers Hospitality, making it possible for those who don’t normally attend hospitality to experience something special.

Hibernian Community Club Partners:

Hibs.net: A Principal Partner of the Hibernian Community Club, the best online forum for Hibs’ fans has been a long-term supporter of our grassroots football programmes: pledging over £40,000 in the last four years. Each kit worn by HCC has Hibs.net’s logo on the front, and with another four-figure amount donated recently, young players will benefit from new equipment.

The Proclaimers: Joining Hibs.net as one of Hibernian Community Club’s Principal Partners, Leith’s favourite twins first pledged support to the girls programme in 2022. In 2025 their sponsorship provided all girls teams with away kit and further training gear. They have once again committed to sponsoring in 2026, providing further equipment to the footballers of tomorrow.

The Garage Conversion Company:  The Garage Conversion Company have recently agreed to sponsor the Hibernian Community club, providing our 2016 boys squad with support.

Not only this, the charitable foundation also provided key funding in order to support HCF’s Christmas Appeal in 2025.

The National Lottery: The Improving Lives fund from the National Lottery has been significant in supporting our Leith Older People’s Project in 2025 and to begin 2026, providing funding that makes our Football Memories, Monday Matchdays, Craft Café, Tea Dances and so much more possible.

Dormfresh: A new donor to HCF in 2025, Dormfresh committed £4,000 in December to support our community programmes and Christmas Appeal. The donation has been crucial in the continuation of our weekly community meal provision, and helped to bring cheer to community members of Christmas.
