Hibernian Community Matchday A Resounding Success for Hibernian Community Foundation!

Hibernian Community Foundation initiatives help raise awareness around Easter Road on Matchday

This season’s Community Matchday was a resounding success where the foundation treated fans to a small snippet of the good work that we do week in week out. The build-up to kick-off featured two performances from the Community Choir, a winter jacket collection and a display from our Team United flag bearers.

Not to mention the Happy Hibee Halftime Draw reached a record jackpot for the season, with the lucky winner taking home close to £1,800. The foundation hopes to build on this over the course of the season, spreading awareness about the importance of the draw.

In addition to this, the foundation distributed 516 match tickets across 8 grassroots football clubs and local charities, welcoming those that wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend a game and hopefully creating some new fans! Our winter jacket collection was also a great success, our volunteers accumulated a small mountain of jackets that will be given to those who need them most this winter. A massive thank you to all that donated!

Our yearly Community Matchday aims to spread awareness about our various outreach projects. The continued support from fans and the wider community allows us to keep improving our services for the benefit of the less fortunate.
