Hibs.net and Hibernian Community Foundation Strengthen Partnership Through Latest Partnership

The Hibernian Community Foundation is delighted to share that the number one online forum for Hibs fans, Hibs.net, has re-committed their generosity to grassroots football with a significant donation to sponsor to the Hibernian Community Club.

This latest contribution will keep Hibs.net’s logo on the front of all HCC home shirts across all age groups, with portions of the sponsorship used to provide new kit to players and equipment to coaches.

“Hibs.net have been a brilliant partner for the Community Club for a number of years, and this recent sponsorship only strengthens the relationship,” said HCF Head of Football Paul Greig.

“It is a testament to the people at Hibs.net that they continue to partner us in our delivery of junior football, and through their support we’ve been able to make a real difference.”

Hibs.net first supported HCF through the Hibernian Women’s team, and have continued their support towards HCF even after the Women’s team departure to Hibernian Football Club. This support originated with the girls pathway, but now extends throughout the entirety of our grassroots football programme. Since 2023, over £40,000 has been donated to support countless children in chasing their footballing dreams.

“Supporting the Hibernian Community Club means supporting grassroots football, which is what we’ve been doing for years now and will continue to do long into the future,” said the Admin Team at Hibs.net.

“It always means a lot to see our logo on the front of each player’s home shirt, knowing we have been able to provide not only kit but also the equipment that makes training and games possible. It was especially great to see the players wearing it at Half-time a few weeks ago on the Easter Road pitch!”

At the recent Hibernian Community Foundation Matchday Stuart McClelland and Jill Sinclair from the Admin team were present at Easter Road for a half-time activation, while players from HCC’s 2017s and 2018s competed in small-sided games at half time.

Hibs.net has been a source of news, community and engagement for Hibs fans online for over 30 years. Since it was set up, over 5 million visitors have frequented the sit, with 3,000 currently registered to share their views and take-in news. Run by a group of deeply passionate and dedicated administrators, the forum was set up to give Hibs fans a voice and a chance to connect.

“As always we would like to extend our thanks to the users of the site, particularly our private members, who make such support possible,” added the Hibs.net team.

In their support of HCC, Hibs.net are helping the 250-plus junior footballers currently signed up, as well as the 50-plus volunteer coaches. HCC is the community football club of HCF and Hibernian Football Club, representing the Hibernian name in competitions across Edinburgh and Scotland. The groups supported by Hibs.net sponsorship range in age from 6 to 16, and consist of players at the beginning of their footballing career to those who just want to play the game they love.
