Hibs.net Renews Sponsorship of Hibernian Community Club – Girls’ Section

Hibernian Community Foundation is delighted to announce that Hibs.net, the premier online community for Hibernian FC supporters, has once again committed to sponsoring the Hibernian Community Club – Girls’ Section.

Hibs.net has long been a cornerstone of support for our community programs; providing significant assistance to Hibernian Community Foundation in the development, growth, and success of young female players. Their generosity and dedication to the Hibernian family has been instrumental in developing our service offering, in order to provide quality training, resources, and opportunities to our Community Club.

The partnership with Hibs.net is particularly special because it aligns perfectly with their ethos—supporting the Hibernian Community at every level. As a platform that connects Hibs fans worldwide, Hibs.net truly has the Hibernian community at its heart, making them the ideal sponsor for our girls’ teams.

Currently, the Hibernian Community Club – Girls’ Section boasts 85+ players across 4 age groups and 6 teams with all teams taking part in regional competition within the Scottish Women’s Football regional leagues. A number of teams from the club also recently participated in the Edinburgh Cup, which was a key part of the Community Club ethos in providing young people with positive learning experiences.

The Community Club’s Girls’ Section has seen impressive growth in months, reflecting the rising interest and enthusiasm for girls’ football within the community. We are thrilled that over 20 players across our age groups have transitioned to the Hibernian Next Gen Girls’ Academy in the last 2 months alone: a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players and coaches.

The ongoing support from Hibs.net ensures that we can keep providing these valuable opportunities for young players. With their backing, we are confident that the Hibernian Community – Girls’ Section will continue to flourish, nurturing the next generation of female football talent for Hibernian.

Spokesperson Hibs.net said:

“After speaking with Paul about the progress made and future plans for girls football as part of the Hibernian Community Foundation we are delighted to be able to show our continuing support to help aid the growth of the girls section. We are only able to offer this support because of the members of Hibs.net and wish to thank them. We are proud of our relationship with the Foundation and look forward to continuing to work together in the future.”

Paul Greig, Head of Football at Hibernian Community Foundation added:

“We are absolutely delighted to have the support once again from Hibs.net. In recent years they have been an excellent supporter of our Girls’ & Women’s provision supporting the Community Club, Girls’ Academy and our Girls’ Festival. Without the backing and support from Hibs.net we would be unable to deliver what we have. We hope to continue this really positive relationship with them for many years to come!
