Hibs SOS February Welcomes “The Voice of Hibernian” Cliff Pike

Next Monday evening (February 23) the Hibernian Community Foundation's Support Our Supporters (Hibs SOS) group will host their second meeting of the year, looking to support any members of the Hibs' Community who needs help.

Hibs SOS is one of the many community support initiatives run by HCF volunteers, providing ongoing drop-in sessions for those who have sought help, replacing the previous mental health support group

Currently hosted in the HCF function rooms in the North Stand, these get-togethers are held on the last Monday of every month, providing a free, confidential, and supportive environment to encourage participants to continue to be open about their mental health (especially if they are experiencing difficulties).

An arresting list of guest speakers have been invited to SoS meetings over past months. These have included former Hibs Director of Football, Brian McDermott; club legend, John ‘Yogi’ Hughes; Hands Off Hibs campaigner, Ger Freedman; former midfielder, Nathan Moriah-Welsh; and the team behind the hugely popular Hibs podcast, Longbangers.

The guest speaker for February’s drop-in is none other than ‘The Voice of Hibernian,’ Hibs TV commentator, Cliff Pike. Lifelong Hibs supporter Cliff will be delving into a treasure trove of anecdotes, including a certain moment in May 2016. “No one can take away from me that I was the first Hibs TV commentator to say that Hibs had won the Scottish Cup!”

All are welcome to pop along to meet Cliff on Monday 23rd February. Just come to the Famous Five (North) Stand, kick off, 7pm.
