How to Support Hibernian Community Foundation at Easter Road this Season

The return of league football to Easter Road this Sunday marks the first chance for many members of the Hibernian Community to support HCF and its range of activities and initiatives.

When heading to Easter Road for matches this season, match-goers have the opportunity to support HCF three separate ways: the Happy Hibee Draw, the Hibernian Match Programme, and the Hibernian Club Shop.

The Happy Hibee Draw returned last week at the home leg of the Europa League Qualifier against FC Midtjylland with the jackpot winner taking home £1,346. When HHD tickets are sold £1 is donated directly to HCF and the other £1 goes directly into the jackpot, meaning more tickets equals a higher jackpot. Over the course of the 2024/25 season over £26,000 was given to jackpot winners, with the same amount going directly to HCF’s community activities. The highest jackpot last season exceeded £2,500, and this season HCF would love to see that number eclipsed on numerous occasions.

The Hibernian Match Programme is an independent matchday programme written, designed and printed by dedicated Hibernian FC supporters. The Hibernian has been a consistent supporter of HCF for a number of years, frequently sponsoring HCF events and providing support for a range of initiatives, most recently the Ron Gordon Football Festival. They have pledged to support HCF whenever possible through sales; so when you purchase a programme you are also supporting HCF’s activities.

The final way to support HCF on matchdays is by donating when making a purchase at the Hibernian Club Shop. Starting at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, Fanatics teamed up with Pennies to help fans donate at the checkout when decking themselves out in the latest Hibernian FC gear. Since last August, this route of fundraising has raised over £4,600 with a conversion rate of 19.5% of all purchases leading to a donation. Of all clubs participating in this initiative, including Everton and Sunderland, Hibernian FC ranks at the top for money donated, and is consistently in the top 3 for percentages each month.

Whether you are buying a Happy Hibee Draw ticket, purchasing a match programme or donating with your purchase at the club shop, HCF puts your donation to a good cause. The funds are used to aid the delivery of community meals, provide equipment for community football or aid in the support of activities programmes for the elderly. Thank you for your continued support, with your help 2025/26 will be able to reach new heights.
