After an incredibly successful day at Hibernian Training Centre for the Ron Gordon Football Challenge on Saturday 22 June, we can confirm that our top fundraiser raised £6410!
In an inspiring display of community spirit and dedication, local fundraiser Clay Gallacher successfully raised £6410 for the Hibernian Community Foundation’s Community Meals programme at the Ron Gordon Football Challenge 2024.
A fantastic day at HTC raised £21,426 overall, which will enable the Foundation to continue providing meals to members of the community three times per week.
The 10 year-old was determined to make an impact and took on the challenge with remarkable enthusiasm as he rallied his friends and family to contribute to this worthy cause.
His mother Natalie, who works at Dobbies Garden Centre, had also sent the fundraising link out across the company, which lead to further support and donations.
We would like to thank Clay and his family for their dedication to the Foundation and their fundraising for the Ron Gordon Football Challenge – these funds will ensure that we can continue to provide for those who need it most.
Clay is a supporter of Hibernian and he will be invited along to the Chairman’s Club at Easter Road Stadium for a home fixture in the 2024/25 season.
He will also attend one of the Foundation’s Community Meals to see the direct impact that his fundraising has made.
“I had so much fun raising the money and telling everyone how it would help people. I also enjoyed playing football with all the other boys and girls on the day!” Clay said.
We would like to thank all of the participants and fundraisers who contributed towards this event. The continued support allows us to provide support to our local community and it would not be possible without the incredible generosity and community spirit that was on show.
