Steve, who was previously a Board Advisor to the Foundation, will assume the role of Chair following the resignation this month of Mags McPherson.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Steve possesses 24 years of experience in investment management with Edinburgh based company, Walter Scott & Partners. He is a lifelong Hibee who was born and raised in Edinburgh with an incredible passion for the club and the community.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The appointment will create a new drive and energy throughout the organisation as we look to continue our progress and expansion across Edinburgh and further afield.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Following the appointment, Steve commented:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy passion for the club and the community is at the forefront and I am excited to embark on this journey as we look to continue the incredible progress that the Foundation has made.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust over a year ago we were providing 200 community meals a week from the stadium \u2013 now it\u2019s closer to 1,000. I\u2019m so proud of what my club is doing and it\u2019s a honour to be given this opportunity to lead this amazing charity.\u201d<\/p>\n

We would like to thank former Chair, Mags McPherson, for her incredible commitment to the Foundation and the wider community.<\/p>\n

Without her passion and desire the Foundation wouldn\u2019t have been able to make the vast improvements that it has made over the two years.<\/p>\n
