Catherine Finnigan

22nd June 1935 – 10th December 2023 (88 years old) Cathie was a lifelong, passionate and very knowledgeable Hibs fan. Unusually for a young woman of her generation, Cathie travelled all over the country in the 50s and 60s following her team. She visited almost every ground in Scotland, travelling on the supporters’ bus at the weekends for away matches and going to Easter Road for home games. She was beyond overjoyed to see Hibs win the Scottish Cup in 2016, and was following their progress until just a few days before she died. Almost Cathie’s last words were ‘What was the score?’ after a midweek Hibs game.
