SoS February Drop-In: An Evening with … Longbangers Hibs Podcast

Supporting Our Supporters, the mental health drop-in run by Hibernian Community Foundation volunteers, have booked our guest speakers for the next meeting (February 26th, 7-8.30pm): the guys behind the popular Hibs podcast, Longbangers!

Matty, Colin, and John describe their long-running show as follows:

“Longbangers is a podcast all about Hibernian FC. Our regular weekly episodes cover every match and all the talking points. For subscribers, we have Extra Time, where we deep-dive a particular topic for discussion, and Week at Hibs, where we look at the Hibs news stories for the week.”

Additionally, the team broadcast Shortbangers as a shorter comedy Q and A session, and started Heidbangers, devoted to mental health discussion, now a podcast in its own right. One of the SoS organisers, Neil, is a contributor to Heidbangers.

Like everyone tuning into their shows, Matty, Colin, and John are, first and foremost, fans who love their club, despite this journey often being like an emotional rollercoaster. But the high and lows of following Hibs trigger so many conversation topics, from post-match analysis, to widening this chat to apply to other things going on in everyone’s lives.

February’s get-together is open to everyone interested in finding out how Longbangers and SoS are trying to keep the Hibs community positive!

Monday, February 26th, West Stand, kick-off 7pm!
